So that's what autocrossing in a car that actually WILL "get out of its own way" looks like. ::bigthumb:
Autocrossing in a stock 4 cyl. Probe looks different than that. You can actually see the cones as they go slowly by, not just blurs that look like cones :)
Seriously Cool Vid.
Hahah, yeah mark for what you have you did really good, but man I could of swarn sometimes I saw your rear wheel come off the ground in corners! haha get some suspension work done to help you in the autoX

Yeah, that run has GREAT lines... but he does get on throttle a bit late in some places, and the 1 handed driving thing is a bit unnerving.
They talked about this run over on one of the S2000 boards.

I too used to be guilty of too much one handed driving untill I saw what I was up to with my in car camera.

Yeah, the one-hand thing is a problem i have, too. I leave my hand on the shifter longer than i need to sometimes.
Maybe it's because i'm trying to brace myself so i don't fly off the boards Ford gave me to use as seats.
I think i just decided on my next mod...

I too am guilty of the driving w/ one hand and having the other on the shifter. I now am constantly driving w/ 2 hands "practicing" muscle memory. :)

I've gotten somewhat better about it, but I've suffered from the same problem. I did the same thing. Forced myself to remember to keep both hands on the wheel when driving on the street. Of course, my car with no power steering requires both hands to make a tight turn!
It's SO hard to unlearn bad habits!

i'll be slapping a camera mount in my car tomorrow. hopefully it'll help me to see what i'm actually doing right/wrong while autoxing:D

I started practicing using two hands after reading Secrets of Solo Racing 3 years ago. 3 years of practice on the street has made it second nature to me. Anyway, there are several useful techniques in that book for handling the steering wheel, besides many other things you need to know to be fast. Now if I could just remember to use some of that stuff. . . :D
Cheerio from England!
