im on 75 this morning headed towards work and i see this older mustang up ahead and i was praying for it to be a gt cause ive raced a 98 gt and a 2001 gt and had my way with both. (especially with the 98:lol:) but anyways i pull up along his passenger side and gave him the smerk and he asks "are you serious?" so i dropped it from 5th to third and held it until he dropped it because if i had punched it he would of whined like a little bitch on how i cheated. anyways he hits it first and we are dead even until 5th where i pulled about half a car and we stayed there. you can tell by the look in his face he was pissed. seeing a 4 door civic try you and beat you. so im thinking he wouldnt want to go again and now he says 40mph roll. :o :lol: so now i asked him if he was serious:D so we slow down and catch 40 then he says go one the third honk. so 1 beep 2 beep 3 beep and im off. off i go and in 2nd i pulled half, 3rd his car got a bit smaller, 4th had a bit over a full car and 5th pulled a bit more. it was weird cause his windows were down the first race and after the 2nd run, they were up when he passed and didnt even look. i guess it saved him the horror it would of caused just to give a thumbs up. but oh well, i guess mustang owners just really hate civics. but all in all no one got caught or hurt so it was fun. sorry that i hurt his pride. better luck next time.

it was the body style before the mod motor ones. nothing special just another v-8. but you do notice i have no kills against checvy v8's. something sounds a bit fishy

well, this is my first V8, everything else i owned was a slow pos except for the Laser...and still, i would never take any of those cars back in exchange for the bird. The urge to be "different" is a much more costly one. when i get beat out on the road by an import, which hasnt happened lately, i begin to think "damn, they must have put alot of money into that car" if i wouldnt have been as foolish as i was when i initially began to get into cars, i literally could have saved myself thousands...thousands that could have been better spent on a V8 that would most likely be in the 9's now if i had never gotten into the import scene and basically wasted the money i did. The laser is the exception to this because it was the funnest car ive owned besides the bird. but a B20 EG, a B16 CRX, and a worked over EG were the worst 3 mistakes of my life. no longer will i go the 4 cyl route unless its for a daily driver or its a DSM. but all i can say is live and learn.

$1000 in a civic isnt as fast as $1000 in a chevy. good point but not everyone wants to be V8 fast. honda fast is good enough. yes there is a difference. a big difference. im happy with my car, do i wish i had a SS or a saleen, no i dont, but i wouldnt deny one. i am a big honda fan and i dont plan on changing that. does that mean i think im faster than v-8's? no! i just got lucky 3 out of 4 times i was up against one.

civic's dont need to be compared to mustangs and ss's and stuff like that. thats what the rx7's and supras are for. they need to be up aginst the neons and focus and cavaliers. but honestly how many of these cars do you see get past 13's all motor daily driven? you dont. i havent seen many. not as many as hondas. but who cares right? the fight between imports and domestics will never end. same as honda vs everything else. its pointless. but ok

Then I put less than 1,000 in mods and I got my 12 second time slips.

Moral of the story? None, at the end of the day, your driving a 13 y/o family car w/ 4 doors and other people (hopefully) are not...to include the mustang in which you beat.

Nice kill. It was kind of ignorant for a guy in a stock 94-95 mustang to ask "are you serious" as if his car was remotely fast. So good kill on that, but remember this ... you just beat one of the slowest v8 mustangs ever produced. It's also ignorant for you to say thing such as "we should start a pony spanking convention" because obviously you can only beat stock mustangs. As to comparing the ford v8s to chevy's. To get an accurate comparison to the 94-95 5.0 you beat, maybe you should try like an 88 305 tbi camaro. Then you can chalk up a chevy kill.

Umm...My '94 GT bone stock went 14.4 on the stock tires. They aren't as slow as everyone would like to think.

$1000 in a civic, IF you spend it wisely (ie not on altezzas and 18" 40 lb wheels) might net you low 14's or maybe mid to high 13's if you went N20 .

$1000 on a LS1 gets you probably the famed catback/lid and some DR's .. now your in the 12's .. or on amustang.. some DR's.. Xpipe-catback - maybe gears.. and your in the 12's.

It means you spin the rear tires more per revolution of the driveshaft. My stock ratio was 3.55 which my meant my rear tires made 1 revolution per 3.5 rotations of the driveshaft. Now I have 4.56's which means my rear tires rotate 1 time per 4.5 rotations of the driveshaft. Got it? ;)
