Firebird Air Sensor Mod

Hey everyone. I'm runing a 1995 Pontiac Firebird V6 3.4L. Nothign special, its got 40 gauge flowmasters and a K&N cold intake of sorts (Which I think comes stock). I know its never going to be a racecar unless I pour thousands and thousands into it, but I just want to give it some more power, and burn a few more ricers. First off, I'm wondering about a cheap little upgrade I bought. Its called an Intake Sensor Mod - only cost 9 dollars off EBay, and suppossed ot give up to 20 HP. Supposidly, it tricks your ECU into thinking that the air coming in through the intake is colder than it is so it dumps more gas, or something to that extent. Can anyone tell me if I just completly BLEW 9 bucks, or if this will actually work? Also, are there any other little odds and ends or something that I can put on hat little chugger to give it some extra kick. Thigns taht won't cost an arm and a leg, and that won't damage my engine or give me a 2 MPG fuel economy - difficulty of installation and whatnot aren't a problem.

You blew $9.

Dont spend any money on the 3.4. It's a roach, I have one for a DD.

comp makes a cam for it, and you could port the heads, but why? you may get into the 14's but thats still piss ass slow and you now have $3000 less.

Save up and wait to get a faster car. You will kick yourself in the nuts one day if you spend any go fast money on that car.

You will never be as fast as the Chevette...

You got jacked....if you're lucky and it doesn't cause you pinging problems you MIGHT see 2-3hp

Super six motor does sell a Head/Cam/Intake package for the 3.4s. And I remember seeing a video of a guy with a 3.4 putting down some serious #s with a turbo on his.

a turbo charged v6 firebird??? can you say domestic rice?...but anyways unless you plan on making the car look nice (which is possible) just save up for a V8.. i had a v6 mustang but just saved and got my ws6 and it was well worth the wait

( you could even wait alittle while and get a older 5.0 or bird)
