So I decided to ditch the bullshit system I had (2 12in MTX subs in ungodly huge box with a 600max watt amp) for a new one. I already got the amp, which is a two channel 1000 watt amp that will push 2 12s of the new VR4's. Ive heard....well seen....and heard of this exact system in a friends car and it sounds nice and bumps hard as hell.

Yea some times you can tell quality by the fuses.

its 3 25 watt fuses.....Ill let you hear it when its done, Kirk.
For about a week ill be running only one sub because the other is getting the voice coil worked on, but ive heard this system and it hits really hard and the quality is surprisingly good
well in theroy an amp shoudnt affect sound ;)
the speakers make the sound the amps create the power..
and an amp cannot create power from no power, thats why I always look at the size fuses and I don't care what the amp says... every 10 amps is normally close to 100watts RMS (with the fuses it came with) unless someone added bigger fuses on there
And I know what you mean about the amp not creating the sound.... the zapco amp I have shows up my 1000+RMS Earthquake amp, and its alot clearer

im not debating the fuse rating, if theres a 30000 watt amp witha single blade fuse of 25 amp, my dick its 30000 watts or whatever
I'm just saying that all amps, with all conditions the same ( wattage, signal voltage, gains set, and processing off) should sound the same
