Just looking at the cheapest place to buy it, i figured it'd prob be all the same and i'd just get it from scca.org.

If anyone knows of anything cheaper than I'd like to know. I just wanna find a class for my SOHC on a budget..

STS would be the cheapest class over the long haul. Otherwise, stock class.

i dont think my SOHC would be that competitive in STS tho.... i'll have to look into it...

They are the same price at scca events. The 2004 rulebooks aren't available yet though. I suggest you hold off until they are printed and pick one up then.

define competitive. as it sits, the 240 isn't "the car to have" in any class.

why wouldnt it be competitive in STS at a state level? Has lower weight , better powerband (read more torquey and flat), and rwd layout to bear on the competitors in the same class...

State level? Because of Elliot Harvey. Simple enough:)

140whp

Jesse, come on, elliot isn't the only competition. don't leave out green integra and nasty blue 2.5 rs. even though none have beat elliot at events i have gone too. i feel his days of easily winning getting challenged by a few of us new guys.

on the other hand, i don't think i have seen a rwd car running sts at an event so far. could be fun. i could be wrong though.

When was the last time the NX 2000 lost to anyone in STS, if ever?

March 1st and 2nd, 2003.

Richard West came down from Virginia and showed Elliot what was up. 2.5 RS with more money thrown at it than your loan on the S2k...

Richard later this year ditched the RS in favor of his MINI cooper S in STX.

Before that event, last time Elliot didn't win was 2002 SE Divisional at Roebling Road, where I beat him on the 2nd day in the Protege. Of course, Bill still had 1st place, but I was 2nd for the day, with Elliot in 3rd, and Per from GRM in the Project Civic in 4th.

I think Elliot still has a decent chunk of time over you guys, although its starting to change from driver as the reason to car setup. Elliot's car still isn't prepped all the way either. He's seriously front suspension travel challanged.

Hey, I know!!! I was there last year, and the year before. TRUST ME, I know how fast that guy is. I beat him ONCE! He owned me so many times.

Well maybe i wouldnt win states.. but could I at least see a lot of driver improvements as well as satisfaction from trying too and possibly succeeding at getting within 1-2 seconds of these guys?
