I've done it a few times before, but it's been a while. My brother and i want to learn how to drive the right way. Any info?

The next FSF event is coming up Oct 26. (see sticky thread about schedules at the top of the forum)
If you guys are just learning, I'd recommend taking advantage of the SunRiders Performance Driving School coming up on the 18th of this month. There's a thread about it on here, too.
Lots of seat time and instruction for $40, then you can put it all to good use at the CFRSCCA event on the 26th.

That's the whole point of the school is practice. Instead of getting 4 (maybe 6) timed runs as you would at a regular autocross, you get at least that many runs plus a lot of seat time practicing various course elements with an instructor.
You'll get at least 30-40 minutes of seat time throughout the day. 10-15 minutes on each of our three practice drills, plus several runs on the full course. Seat time is what it's all about.
It's worth getting un-busy for if you can.

That's the important stuff if you want to be fast.
A couple events ago, I asked Elliot Harvey to be the novice instructor for a heat, and not one person asked him to ride.:tard:
I had STS won against 10 people in Palm Bay one time, so I let Jerry Stein drive my car. He showed me that I knew nothing about autocrossing. Since then I have asked at least one person to ride with me at every event, and I think it has paid off.

Jerry Stein can drive the wheels of a car. He makes that little Escort of his fly!

He sold the escort months ago. He's got a Sentra Spec V.
