View Full Version : Where can I get some pads and rotors locally?
I was thinking about Autozone PF for the front pads. But I still need 4 discs and rear pads. Any suggestions? Ordering online would be cool too as long as it's close. I want to put them on this weekend.

some of the best prices I've seen for rotors and pads (for the Mustang) were from TireRack.

Not sure what kind of car you have, but Autozone is great for rotors. They had a set the same day for the rear of my car, which are somewhat rare rotors.
For a civic.
Thanks, so the autozone rotors are decent?
Now all I need are rear pads.
Kind of leary of the $14 Autozone rear pads.
A little more bite in the rear might be better for autocross, and
be a better match for the autozone PF's up front.

I have been using the Autozone pads for like 70k miles....work perfectly fine for my big ass boat of an Integra. Last pretty well, don't make a ton of dust, and cheap as crap.
And yes, Autozone rotors are fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about pads or rotors for autox. If they are sufficient for the street, they'll be fine for your < 90 second run at speeds of 65mph or less.
If you were doing a Solo1 event and stopping from 100mph 3 times per 50 second lap in five lap sessions, I'd definitely recommend a high quality vented rotor and some race pads that are up to the task.

brembo blanks are usually fairly cheap if you shop around. They'll take more abuse than autozone rotors too...
as for pads, something a bit more aggressive in the rear might help you while trail-braking. Maybe some Hawks or Carbotechs?
