Me vs. r/t 10

Pulling out of my neighborhood onto sem. blvd to head out to the local little store to pick up a pack of cigs for my brother I saw some pecular looking headlights coming up in my rear view awfully low to the ground and I think to myself ... is that a viper? As he was headed by me I got on it to pace him to see if he wanted to play. He's next to me, I get the laugh from him and his passenger, then he revs, needless to say I passed up my destination with this oppurtunity :D . So i swing by the car infront of me and line up next to him and I shake my head because I'm about to take a beatdown. From about a 45mph roll i don't bother to downshift because i figure I'm going to get walked either way. So I left it in 3rd and rolled it on to give him ample time to downshift before I put it to the floor, once his car hit that low gear (it was kind of loud) I nailed it and got a "healthy" move on him. So I'm still losing him from about a 4 or 5mph jump i had on him and put approx. 2 cars on him from my head start. He gradually makes up for that and at 110 he winding that big v10 to the redline from what it sounded like walked up next to my door and then let off, thumbs up exchanged and I was a happy camper that I could entertain a viper for a good 7 seconds of its night, :lol: Well, it was fun while it lasted, maybe I'll give you more of a challenge next time :D

was it a red one? I was at a self car wash yesturday (indian rocks rd) and I saw a red rt10 viper downshift and floor it down the road.

Ya it was red with a black top. It wasn't as fast as I thought it would be. It has about 400 to the wheels off the showroom floor.
The funny thing is, I wasn't going to race him because i thought it would be a waste of time, but he reved at me and i gave him a scare :D

They must be giving Vipers away now, or something. I see like 3 everyday on the way to the gym. 2 new reds ones, and 1 older red one... almost like clockwork.

lol, now that you mention it ... I saw a red Viper GTS the next day.

On Autotrader, Vipers are going for right around $35,000-$45,000...which is about what you would pay for a Mercedes-Benz!!! Nice Run, keep us posted as to how you fare against it next time!

Nah...you can get a nice Mercedes for right around $40,000 brand new and they range all the way up to the high dollar Mercedes which is right around $145,000...What Mercedes is a cheapo Mercedes??????

If I'm getting a Benz, I'm getting nothing smaller than a CL430... and if I get what I really want, it's going to be a lot closer to 6 digits.
