SE-R vs. Civic Si

Ok so Im drivin on a road near my house and I see a black Honda Civic Si go by the other way. I pull a U-turn and as I catch back up to him it looks to be a '99 with a nice exhaust and some 18's from what I can see. I know Im gonna lose, but I just wanna see how well I can keep up. So we get catch at a light. Just as I stop he revs at me. I go to put it in neutral to return it, but just as I do the light goes green. FUCK. He jumps out about a car on me from the line. I get back in drive and slam it. I gain a half car back on him, but he slams second and starts walkin me as expected. At about 80 hes got a car and a half, and we shut down. I get next to him and give the thumbs up. Him and his girl laugh. :wtf:. Then he starts braggin that three people are in his car (I only see him and his girl :rolleyes: ). I tell him good job you beat my stock automatic, and go on my way. Like I said I didnt expect to win, but I wish he wouldnt have been a dick.

It sucks being slow.

kids like that are dicks and need to be taken down a peg. there's nothing better than the bravado that comes from one fifteen second car beating another fifteen second car. most of the honda people are decent, however.

se-r's come in automatic? i thought they only came with a six speed manual.

EDIT: ok, never mind. the se-r comes with an automatic. the se-r spec v comes with a manual.

the se-r is actually not running right now. She is sitting in the driveway in pieces. It should be running next week and running good the following week :D My new toys are gonna be fun ;) :D

Same thing here. I'm having my engine rebuilt and ported this week and should be broken in within a month. Then its off to the dyno for some tuning.

im just changing injectors and a going to sightly bigger wheels on the hairdryer. no more 11psi on a small t25 for me. going 15psi on slightly bigger wheels:D should definately see some small gains ;) :D

Sounds good man. Should drop at least half a second I would say, depending on the turbo upgrades. Can your internals handle 15lbs though? I don't know if you have any internal mods or not, and I'm not too familiar with your engine but I was just wondering.

yeah the engine can handle over 400whp and over 20psi. im not too worried about it since I don't put out near that much. good thing nissan did their homework on the sr20 :D

You know what I've been wondering? How does the FWD/RWD work? I mean its not the same exact engine in 180s as the SE-Rs is it? Like is there a FWD version and a RWD version or what?

I know there are about 2.8 million black civic si's running around, but I smacked down a black si with a fart can and some wheels, yesterday, who had a kid and his girl in it. Hopefully it was the same kid, and I got revenge for you. :D I was going to ask her if she wanted to ride in a real car now, but they wouldn't look over at me at the next light. :lol:

there is a AWD SR20DET engine in the JDM bluebird and pulsar (GTI-R) you can use those platforms for a FWD application. you just don't connect any RWD parts to the tranny.

Spoken like a tru pimp. I'll have to be honest though. I really underestimated the SE-R spec v. I let one get the jump and didnt fly past him till freakin third gear. Still aren't fast. But they do have alot more torque than me................ BTW I have an EBP Si so it'll just look better by me beatin up on a black one or a red one

Yeah the Si has a B16 in it. Rated at 165 at the crank I believe.
