I would like to thank everyone who was there i had a blast and was very surprised how well i did considering it was my first time. I was the more agressive of the two drivers in the bone stock Flame Red 2001 Neon ACR. My best run was a 52.733 on street tires inflated at 32psi (i think i bested the Mini Cooper S by a few maybe) and i was hoping my best run would fall into place but i spun out to a 59.xxx...oh well maybe next time. I'd like to thank Neil and others for a great event, we hope to bring the ACR out again for some good runs....oh btw i'll have my footage up shortly aswell it wasnt much cause we drove back to back and cant film while im driving or waiting to get back in the car.

I had a blast too. I'll give a public 'at-a-boy' to Todd for designing what I think was the best course I've run on yet. I liked having several optional sections as it made you think a bit about how to drive the course best. Nice job patching the holes in the crossover too. that was above and beyond and hope we all appreciate the effort. Thank You!

You're welcome and I think the vast majority of drivers really enjoyed the course. It was fast enough to give a little "fear factor", but only in the safe areas. Where people DID lose lose it, there was nothing to hit. You did have to think the lines out well in advance, unfortunately some were still taking the obvious slow line. Maybe on the next course map I'll label the bad option as the "dummy line" and shame them into doing it the fast way. I wish I could post the video of my 45 MPH 270*. I've never spun that way before (keeping my foot in it until the wheels were just smokin' and the revs hit the limit).
The pot hole thing may have been for the greater good, but honestly it was selfish. I wanted to use that cross-over on almost every design and it became apparent that the only way it would get fixed is if I spent the time and money to do it.
I had a blast....hope you all did too. 10 runs on a flowing course.

i enjoyed it. and your car was great. i'm gonna make autocross a habit, starting next season.
i was in the red neon. i wasn't there to run fast, i was there to learn how to drive my car better. i have much to learn, and i can't wait. i went to sunriders yesterday, and ran decent times. today was a fast course, and i couldn't handle it well. i think my best was a high 58 second run. but my first 4 were DNF and were around 70 seconds. i ran the first 4 runs on 60-profile economy h-rated street tires, and they don't have much damage at all.
once again, that was fun. and educational.

damn. it sounds like Sunday was an awesome course. I missed it because of a coolant leak. Now i've got a serious jonesing. Is Orlando a fun place? maybe i'll go there on the 28th...

Gotta agree on the course design. Fantastic! I thought Saturday's course was fun too, especially if we just change the finish a little. And I hereby proclaim Todd to be 100% nuts (and 200% cool as hell) for spending all that time to patch the FSF site after they wouldn't do it and I told him not to bother doing it!
