How are eclipse subs rated? Ive read that their aluminum subs it pretty hard. Anyone have experience with them?

i had one it hit solid till there was an issue with ym amp which took the sub with it
but other than that it hit nice, ojly issues ive heard
aluminum can warp under heat and im sure you can figure what goes down with aluminum and warpage and sq

nope.. I have 2 and ride them hard as hell. no problems.. and clean as hell sounding. I push them off of a bostwick 1500hd.. now i have one sub and the amp bridged to one ohome<sp>.
the one speaker hits as hard as the 2 on one coil.. good ass speakers
In the next few weeks I will be having 2 Eclipse 8710.4 10in Subs powered by a Zapco Z400C4-SL amplifier
Focal 130KS for mids and high - plus some other goodies
I am hoping the eclipse's will be enough

Yeah I've rocked an Eclipse DVC 88120 aluminum cone for a few years now and I love it. I recently put a few dents in the cone so it looks shitty, but still sounds great. For Sale, btw.
And remember aluminum cone subs do need more power to move like other subs do with lighter cone materials.

any specific model you guys suggest? Somethin not too expensive, maybe around 200 bucks or so.

eclipse = high dollar. look for good deals though. I bought mine used.. Eclipse is up there with mb,zapco,mmmats, all that shit
I'll be running the 8710.4's.. hopefully they sound good!! can't wait
my buddy had the aluminum 10" ......one day it went BANG and looked lieka crumpled up coke can
