so i've got me a brand spankin new sub... jesse, aaron and i personally witnessed this sub pull 143 db MUSICAL bass. on ONE 12. being the douche bag impulse buyer that i am, i picked one up for a killer price of $200. 1000 watts RMS, 1800 peak. Mounting depth is right in the same ballpark as my w3, surprisingly. i tried plugging it in to my pg amp. turns out 300 watts isn't enough for an 1800 watt sub... who knew? on the docket now is an mtx 1501d and a 2 cube ported box :D

not really sure what the problem is... but it's really really soft at low volumes and then loud and super distorted at higher volumes. which makes me think it's just disgustingly underpowered.

you also have to realize that youre gonna need as muchas you can to get that thing to move in that ported box, especially as heavy as it is.
