I would so love to go drifting but I would hate to actually tear my car up on those roads with the bald ass tires I have.

Anyone taking bets that within 3 month we're gonna hear some sob story about how one of these clowns messed up his car because he drifted over a curb and his parents have taken away his car?????

then that would be there problem. its no different then someone complaining about how cones ruined their paint.. oh wait.... never mind. lol
and considering i almost totalled the miata few times doing it and never bitched, i highly doubt it. there a fist ful of us here that have been doing it for quite a few yrs before we even knew it had a name. but now since its surfaced, so have we. so tis not the fastest way around a course? then the guy i beat out to get 2nd place in EP in my last autocross must have driven REALLY slow

Hitting stuffs is part of drifting , I own my car not my parents .
My FC has hit a curb or 2 but I fix it and it still works perfect and since the parts were replaced with new it's probally better than before , I drive dam well as . I have an SCCA regional license , I have also taken the Panoz driving school at Sebring and am a hardcore road racer .
I have been going ot the 12 hours of Sebring since I have been alive .
/end rant , drifting IMO is cool , some people still call it jumping on the bandwagon even though I was drifting before the band wagon was invented .

hey no one tops me, i went over an 8ft wall into a swamp.
sorry didnt cry to mom, i put up the $250 for the car not her ;-)
few weeks before that i ran over a curb, bent a control arm.
if that didnt happen i would not have learned that the celica control arms give the corolla -2.2deg camber.

Huh, I wonder how many of us have car parts in our kitchens right now. I've got another limited slip sitting on the kitchen counter at the moment. good thing the wife's out of town. Now if I can just find one more set of 4.11 gears....

as soon as i get my engine in, im always down... oh yea and Leonard...if you want a forum with a bunch of kids who mommy buys thier shit for, go to Nico. and even if thier mommy does buy it for them...lucky them, they'll have pimp ass cars that they like, but they just won't have the satisfaction that the devoted gear heads have. (end rant)
Tune on.
