Default tire q's?

I'm looking for a set of decent off road tires with good manners on the road, seeing how I drive ~50 miles a day I need them to be somewhat quiet, but need to be able to take some dirt better than the quasi nittos I have on now, which dont get traction for shit

so what do you guys reccomend?

There is no better tire than Parnelli Jones for Grip/Hwy use. I researched this extensively as I had to buy 38's that would be good on the road. They sound great (not too loud) and supposedly mud just as well as a Super Swamper. Leroy's 4x4 in Tampa had the best prices locally. Next to them I would have picked a Mickey Thompson.

PJ tires are great if your pockets are deep

I love my PJ's but they were only like $30 more per tire than a Super Swamper. Nothing is cheap in my size.
