i finally got enough money to buy a car i got 16k i am interested in the e36 m3 94+ i was looking on ebay and in autotrader and they are all very high mileage.

my question is. I would feel more comfortable buying a car where i know they have replacement engines and it can be easily done
do they still make e36 m3 motors?

thanks a lot

your best bet on a new motor would be bavarian motor exchange, all reman'd motors, block and head, then you have to swap all your exsisting parts over

even better than that would just be a lower milage motor for sale on some bmw boards somewhere. motors will range from 3-5k complete with transmissions

swap is not to hard for someone who has done it before

and e36 m3s are 95+ :)

Personally, if I didn't have extra money laying around for maintenance and repairs, I wouldn't buy an M3. It may be cheap now, but just wait for the first couple of service bills. BMWs kick ass until they start to get old, then the shit gets annoying.
