does anybody know if a head from a 2.4 liter engine would fit on a 2.0. I was just wondering becaue a site is selling a bare 2.4 head under the parts for a 2.0.

Last I checked the 2.0L and 2.4L are the same engine family......

does that mean all the other parts, intake manifold, exhaust manifold etc would all be the same too or would there be different parts that would be needed.

umm the heads are identical buddy..only differences are the cam spockets and cams (also depending on year the valvetrain too) Why would you wanna swap heads when you can just swap the motors. Ive swapped a friend's 2.0 DOHC to 2.4NA then we turboed it ;)

If they are the same would the turbo manifold from an SRT-4 fit onto a first gen. neon r/t? If they do what work would have to be done to add the turbo to the first gen. because the SRT runs 15psi which i dont think the stock internals could hold up to.

the stock parts will hold up but no idea how long the PM rods
(powdered metal) are too brittle to withstand pressure in the cylinders, intercooled with good gas,larger injectors, and a thicker head gasket to lower the compression will work but no idea how long it will last, the bottom end are weak i got 3 motors 2.0 and 2.4's and they all sent the rod through the block, the SRT manifold will bolt up to 1st Gen, i believe there are 2 holes that would need to be drilled and tapped to secure it correctly, but will work without too, the heads are same casting on 2.0 and 2.4 so there are no gains the only difference is the cams the 2.4 cams have less lift and duration, the 2.4 motor is also a non-interference where 2.0 bends every valve in it when the timing belt breaks.

beleive it or no yes but Mopar is said to be working on a turbo kit for 1st gens based on the SRT4 items. Well to run the SRT setup well might aswell go 2.4 then add the SRT components unless you really wanna stay 2.0 at which point you'd need to get yourself a done up 8.1:1 compression bottom end put in ;)
