jason, i will try to get some pics up REAL soon so i can share with all the 1j. today we had a set back from a broken motor-mount, so we will be searching feverishly to find one. if you or any of your contacts can obtain this part real soon we will gladly give some cash to the finder. the toyota part number is 1236142050. Jason, if you plan to do the swap we can provide a clip and install for a good price(quality work is worth it). the full install is the 1jz, custom harness extention, trans, ecu, fuel pump, TORSEN REAR SUB ASSEMBELY(gear type LSD), and crossmember(if needed). Radiator and intercooler is also included. some clips come with some bolt-ons. Last clip had greddy airnex, and blitz BOV. please give some lead time for this to happen(clip must be attained). your car would be the last thing involved in the swap, so you can drive for as long as you can until the full swap. let us know and good luck and safe tuning:D
P.S. Dont forget we need that mount.(90-92 jza70 supra motor-mount for the right side)

Agent8... you just need the round style motor mount. you could even find one in an 89. there are square mounts in the 89's also. but anywho, talk to Magic Auto, their # is 727-573-7751. i know for a fact that the car they have there is a 90+. its the same color as mine, only its NT. you can get that Mount from them.

BTW, dont forget the 2JZ/Land cruiser throttle cable.
Oh, and what are you doing about the Hydraulic cooling fan? Keeping it or tossing it? You know, you can use ford Contour/cougar electric fans from 96+ cars. they are a perfect fit for the MK3 radiator. you can get them for pretty cheap, and when properly installed, they move MASSIVE amounts of air. infact, you MUST wire it to a thermo-switch otherwise itll overcool the car and itll stay in openloop-warmup mode forever.

Oh, and if you want it to have AC, be sure to keep the AC line block from the original compressor and bolt it to the 1JZ compressor. i personally would go for AC... its florida :D

btw, where are you getting the clips from? are you a middle man or are they coming straight from the East? most of my friends recommend Jarcoinc.com as they have soem high quality standards. How much are the clips costing now?

oh, and how are you working around the engine harness? who is doing the wiring for you? I know Mike Urbano was modifying the harnesses. you just ahve to send your 7M and 1J harness and he will splice/lengthen it and send ti back... for about $600.

its cool, i feel your frustration... it sucked to be doing a HG swap, seemingly forever. i bought the car in January and have only been driving it for about a month...

it always takes twice as long to do something than you originally plan for... but at least you know they arent rushing/skimping on the job.

yea, i have done my harness myself. yes i will share pics with everyone as soon as i get them uploaded to my home pc. the only thing i am waiting for it to get the new poly/cnc aluminium mounts. they should be here tue/wed hopefully.concerning mike urbano; i was informed that more than a few of his customers had recived bad harness that lacked electral continuity on some wires. this could leave someone looking for ever to find the problem. the main point is to get the under dash plugs re-pined and sorted out. sorry if i take a few to get the pics.

jarcoinc.com rules, thats where everyone has been recommending placing orders... they keep getting new shipments in, but its like first come-first serve and the 1jZ cuts w/ the 5speed aer VERY VERY high demand... but they have had an Auto tranny clip in their inventory FOR-EV-VER. their prices are al ittle on the high side, but i keep hearing how they have good quality, so i would DEFINITLY pay a little more for more piece of mind.

btw, whats your shop address? i like to come out and take a look at your operation... maybe bring my Digicam and take some pics... for posterity.

oh and jason. for a DEAL we could do it for 1000-1500. remeber this will include the harness. Arnout-vander-kamp wants 600 just for the harness! this would be the full swap of the jz and the rearend. look to see if the eigth digit in your body vin number id a "K". count backwards from the last number in the code. if it is a "K" we would not need to swap the cross member(full day) it would take about two to three weeks to ensure that it is done right. maybe faster. you will need to buy some parts for the swap though. i would also recomend changing the cluth and timing belt wile the motor is out. a full poly bushing kit would be good also wile the subframes are out. lets talk.

thats good. try to get a 89.5 and up. makes the swap a little easier. a 91 or 92 is ideal but the 89 will work as well. when ever you want to do it we will. oh what exhaust do you have on the one in the pic?
