i turned onto the "onramp" road from bryan dairy to I-275 today and this infiniti g35 turned in behind me. next thing i know i hear his revs start in so i gun it. i wasn't spooled up when i floored it and he gained SLOWLY on me in 2nd and 3rd, once i shift to fourth i start pulling on him. then i look back and the guy almost loses it while shifting.
after all that they guy does a fly by on me while i'm going 100, but at least he waved. car wreck suck!

lmao, it was a white G35, driven by some older looking skinny black dude that you'd expect to see in something non-sporty, (because he's older, not because he's black, i know what you're thinking, you damn racists).

 

Lose it? What's that mean exactly? And how fast is your car? If yours is stock....a G35 will be about even or faster than you depending on which model it was (sedan or coupe).

 

Road & Track:

Infinit G35 coupe:
0-60= 6.1
1/4 mile= 14.9

Subaru Impreza WRX:
0-60= 5.7
1/4 mile= 14.4

car and driver tested the wrx at 5.4 to 60mph and 14.1 in the quarter, but they didn't test the G35 coupe, so i used road & track numbers. also, road & track doesn't know how to drive AWD, they tested the STI at only .1 seconds faster than the evo in the 1/4, while turbo magazine broke the sti into the high 12's.

Exactly....meaning that the claimed 14.2 that the coupes run is correct. A stock WRX with an average driver won't do much better than a 14.5.
