i know the guy with the turbo se-r is on the site, that was a nice race man, i was tailing in the green maro z/28 .. that was my bud in the trans am .. he just got it, well you tell the story, u had a better perspective

So I am taking a guy for a ride in my car when i see two f bodies going over the ummmm track . I catch up and try to get a race. We had to circle the track and we finally got lined up. We went from a 40mph roll. we hit it. I jump in front immediately. I would say he was about at my rear bumper maybe fender. Next thing i know he is starting to catch up. We had to shut it down do to debris on the right side of the track :o . If we would have kept going he would have definately passed me. Thats basicaaly the story. if I missed anything please add or correct me. Please tell your friend good race.. That car is very quick. Whats it got done to it? Usually if i pull in front its pretty much over (if its stock or near stock ls1). You can just pm me if you dont want to post it.

Im in a small town/ country area in ohio... and 1 out of every 20 performance car enthusiasts/ racers cant identify the sound of a turbo..

Believe it or not, both of our fbodies r bone stock cept for flowmasters .. both automatics, ill have the b honest, the fbody i was in was my mom's, the ford isnt running right, believe it or not LOL. He said that he did catch u and was about a half car in front of u when u guys shut them down. He thinks he is king shit in that car, was hoping u could take him, and give him a bite of a reality sandwich lol and thought u would, o well, lol.
O, and the reason u got the jump is probably because of where his rpms r when he nails it from 40, he is probably turnin 3000 rpms in second gear from that speed, that is probably his weakest point, we got goin 160mph at the track with 3 people in it
have u ever raced your car in the 1/4 btw boostinse-r? if so wut did u run?

 

13.177@105.38 with a 2.145 60'. Damn i can't believe it was stock. i raced a stock 02 ss later that night and we were about even. And that was from a 30 roll which puts him in his sweet spot and me way low in the rpm range. Oh well. Hes got a quick car.. Time for me to do more mods

Tell the whole story, the SS was not a true SS race with the person who was driving it . None the less it was funny to hear his excuse's even though he won.

 

if u ran 13.1 in the 1/4 i dont know how you were going to lose especially seeing that your 60ft time was only a 2.1, that is incredible that you were still able to turn 13.1 on that 60ft. The guy he bought it from an owner who got it after the original owner died, so maybe the guy that died had some mods done to it before he was gone.

I like your car alot boostin se-r, looks sleeper stock.

 

Thanks, it has been driving me nuts all day now that i found out he was stock. i have pulled several ls1 cars and yet he was able to creep past me.. I just don't get it. The only thing I can think of is maybe me having my windows down was putting alot more drag on the car than i thought but even then...arrrhhhhh i am getting frustrated. I guess it just wasn't my night.

believe me, im stumped too, did he have his windows down as well?? plus u had a passenger. I've been trying to figure it out, too, because his car is not capable of turning better than 13.5 stock.
