Well, they did it again. The Letter I got:

RE: Vehicle Towing

Dear Resident,

Per your lease agreement and the parking policy amendment dated 6/9/03, our tow policy company is authorized to periodically drive through the property and tow away any vehicles in violation of our parking policies. The Following vehicle has been tagged for towing July 25,2003:

Dodge Charger Plate # Lacated: next to #140 (Appears to be Abaondoned)

***Your vehicle needs to be moved on a weekly basis so that debris does not build up underneath the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle needs to be kept clean, so that it will not be considered abandond by the tow company. In the future, you will not receive any warning notices from the office. The tow company is authorized to tow abandoned vehicles immediatly.***

If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact the management office

Sincerely,
Lake View at Ocotillo Management

Ever since the day I brought the car home, I have been harrassed about the car. First, it was to loud. Ends up, the city of Chandler has no noise ordinance concerning vehicles, so they could do nothing. Then, I was told that I had to park it in the far corner of the complex so that the unassigned parking spaces could be utulized by whomever. There have been approximatly 5 tow stickers placed on this car, regardless of where it is parked, including in my assigned spot. Not to mention the tow stickers that are placed on my other cars, including the Dakota. I have lived here for a year and a half. I pay $1080 a month for this dump. My rent is always on time or early. I follow the rules and do not disturb my neighbors between 10pm and 8am. The office knows this is my car. They also know it is not abandoned, since I still live here. They know who the car belongs to.

I hate this place, the only reason I continue to live here is that it is 1mile from Bob's work. I am seriously considering a harrassment lawsuit against this place. Nobody washes their car during monsoon season, the dust and rain is impossible to keep off when it rains everyday. Comparably to a bad thunderstorm in Florida. I wish I had a 70 Charger, but nope it's better, it's a 70 ChaLLENger. My tags are current, the car runs and drives, no flat tires, no body damage. Just the original paint job and a faded Black hood. There isn't even rust on the car. Lori is about to tell the Apartment complex to fuck off. I would love to sue them just so I could enough money to drop a mortgage down to an Ideal payment. My freaking house in Florida costs NO WHERE NEAR as much as this dump.
Here is the link to the apartment complex: http://www.apartments.com/search/oasis.dll?page=summary&property=117484.1&resultpos=1&area1=Y&subarea3=Y&rentrange=1&allsizes=1&allbaths=1&mode=4096&status=12&state=AZ&rgn2=66&prvpg=7&partner=azcentr&srt1=0.11&srt2=0.63&srt3=0.22
The pictures make this place look nice.

are you fuckin serious? And thats the Chally? Abandoned my ass. If its registered, whats the fuckin deal? Yeah, you need to tell all them in their pretty little office to get bent. Fuck them, theres got to be more places nearby 808s work.

Stupidass yuppie scum that cant handle seeing a car without a shiney gold Lexus emblem on it...

I am going to have the same problem no matter where I go. I live in an area where the houses start at $250k and go all the way up, houses smaller than mine in z-hills. I already told Bob that if they (Intel) offer a voluntary seperation package that will benefit us to take and we can moe back to Florida. The only good thing about Az is that I almost got to finish school.

voluntary seperation = he quits?

CrazyMoparGirl
07-19-2003, 04:11 PM
yup, it would suck because we would have to move back immediatly without me finishing school. That means I would have to start completely over. I am at a point in school where I am learning procedures. I am officially a Medical Secretary. That is NOT what I want to do.

Set up a lawn chair with one of those little tent shelters. Prop a loaded shotgun and rifle against the car and wait for whoever is putting the stickers on your car. When they arrive, calmly tell them that the car is not abandoned and that it does not need to be towed away, while pointing the shotgun at them. Voila! Problem solved.

my take on the MTR Lotto: Give me $1000 and i'll give you $200 back! Even better than the lotto! For both of us!

And theres a 1:690000 chance i'll give you 10-million back

same here.

but my point was... they spent 1000 and got back 130. If they give me 1000, hell, they can have 230! I'm a much better investment

i posted in their "results" thread. Of course im ignored and they carry on the ignorant "cant win if you dont play" attitude that the state has fed the mindless people. I looked up and the jackpot was only 48-mil. I was thinking it was like 200-mil with all the MTR hype.

CrazyMoparGirl

Remeber, regardless if the "mopar" people are right or wrong, we are always wrong and don't know anything. The reason we don't know anything is because we don't "activky participate" in TR events.

oh stop hating, I jumped in the lotto pool and it was fun, I wish we won 2 Mil each, but oh well...

the reason people ignore you is that you usually just make a snyde remark that doesnt really fit in with the conversation's "flow"...

Now I know what you may be thinking... you dont have to or want to go with the "flow" thats not who you are, which is exactly what you are expressing by calling everyone else MTR (whats that stand for, Moron Tampa Racers? Mainstream Tampa Racers?) but you cant expect them to make you feel like you belong in the conversation when all you do is nay say and distance yourself from them..

and btw, im not like.. all mad and worked up or anything posting this, if you knew me personally you know thats not my personality, I'm a libra.. a mediator.. i like to see harmony :)

so stfu

well, lori and i are not the gambling/lotto type people.. so of course we'll poke fun about that. Just like Ford people make fun of dodges, imports/domestics, pot heads and not... Our opnion is that its just kinda stupid to dump so much money into that when your chances of even winning $500 is slim. Yes, there is a chance you'll win big. But a very slight chance. And when I say its stupid to do that, i dont mean just you guys.. i mean the people who line up every week and spend $20 or more. Maybe its just my odd ball thinking, but I would rather put a $20 bill into a jar every week and then cash it in after a few years.. or however long it takes for the average player to win sorta big. But thats mine/our opinions and im allowed to have it! :p

We mostly find it amusing how the majority of tr follows the trend set by each other. They dont seem to stand for anything, just endulge themself in whatever seems popular or trendy or cool at the time, regardless if it contradicts with what they were all trending over last week. Its kinda sickening theyre like that, but I guess a lot of the damn country is too. We just cannot understand how people can be lead so easily.. both here and in the real world. Again, its just a running joke we have in here to amuse ourselves. No real harm intended. :poke:

As for the ignoring part.. well yeah sometimes we post out of the flow. But we are mostly talking about when we post in GGC or Forced Induction or something. We'll answer a question and then 50 million people will reply having no clue what they are talking about and the person asking the question will go with what they said. Or maybe a couple posts later someone will say the exact same thing as us and then that person will be hailed god of the car world. Like on the thread about how much HP can you run with drag radials on the road. Everyone made up some stupid guess for the number. I came in and told them to spend time on their suspension because I had a friend who cut a 1.8 60' time on rock hard all season radials on a FWD. So if you are on DR's, you can go even quicker. The idea is simple... if your chassis is setup like shit, he would have only cut a 2.4 short time. The HP number would have been the same. But no one could follow my logic and real world experiance, so they just kept going making up numbers when they had no idea and i wasnt even slightly considered to have a point. Now if kenwood would have come in and said that........ But he has nothign technical to ever bring to the board. But once again, its just an ongoing joke we have. We'll post just to see if it IS ignored and then laugh about it. We're allowed to amuse ourself with predictable people, arent we? I do it all the time at work.

I'm a gemini which means.... :dunno:

Now play along or i'll banish you from my room!!! :D

Clint
07-21-2003, 01:45 PM
Its ok u can banish me, since I attend TR meets and stuff I'll just ask Aharon or Billy to fix it, ;)

and as far as the technical stuff you were talking about, I agree with you there, I saw your post stating the suspension setup was more importand and then the next 50 people going off about needing more hp.. etc...

I personally never play the lotto... this was the first time Ive played it in a few years, I figured that cutting the odds by 1,000 sounded like a decent bump in the right direction, never expected to win, but I've spent $100 on alot stupider stuff.. (ie my $130 tow truck bill from friday night  )

I amuse myself with people doing/saying things that I think are dumb/funny whatever, but I dont point and laugh, or run around telling everyone else in a voice loud enough that they can hear me, which is basically what you are doing by posting stuff in this public forum...

I probably took it a little too personal, but I just hate how every post in here turns into bashing other people... look at the title and first post of this thread.. WTF does that have to do with us playing the lotto?

and I disagree with this entire post Lori, I know you are just "joking" around or whatever, but if people arent valuing your opinion, it has nothing to do with whether or not you own mopars or attend TR Events.

07-21-2003, 02:14 PM
haha, its all good clint. first, i couldnt banish you if i wanted to. and i have nothing at all against you anyway. my long winded reply was just to set the story straight.. just let you know where I am coming from with all we do in here.

Yeah, i know we use this more like a private chat room sometimes, but we just hope people dont wander in here and read something, take it way too personally, and start some shit. I guess so far no one's gotten too uptight about it. If it would become a huge problem, of course we would tone it down. I guess its better we say stuff here in our little semi-private area... versus starting tons of flame wars in FFA or the other rooms where the actual convo is happening.

I'll admit, ive spent money on stupid things before too. And if they felt that the money was well spent on the tix, just like what i spend my money on.. then so be it. They're allowed to, and thats why I didnt make a big stink about it in FFA. But cant I at least say stuff about it in here? Im sure theres plenty of people who talk about how stupid i am to go to cophers and buy engines and junk cars. Again, its all in fun. If you hung out with lori and I, youd know how dumb and stupid we act. Honesly we could care less if you get tickets. I guess we're bored and need entertainment? lol, who knows. we're mental!

Its ok if you took our stuff personal. It just wasnt meant as an attack. And I didnt think you were starting shit when you wrote back. We're all very laid back in here. And yeah, most of our threads just wonder from topic to topic. We dont feel the need to start an entirely new one just for "boy people are stupid buying lotto tickets". I guess just how convos go in real life, you move from one subject to another. Besides, if people wander into the room and see a thread called "the stupid fucks that got lotto tickets!"... i cant see much good coming out of that

Well, it IS a project. Its a 71, 318, auto, 8.75" w/ 3.23 gears, ps, pb, hemi orange out side, white inside, it was just a plain grandpa car.. hubcaps.. I got it from the origional owner, origional paint, i got the window sticker, build sheet, every registration, oil change reciept, etc.

I started the resto.. the car is COMPLETELY taken apart. Some parts have been stripped and in primer. I have all new interior for it already, all new trim, lights, sheetmetal, everything needed for the resto. It needs both quarters, but only the very bottom where they all rust. It alos needs a trunk floor and battery box area, but i also have all that.

I have NO clue what id get from it. I know cars apart are worth not much, but challengers and such complete origional cars are worth a lot. Plus all the new parts I have for it. If you are SERIOUS about this, we can talk

this was my project.. was gonna be a warm 318, nice lookin, driver. then it was gonna be my hot 340, but nice lookin driver. then i got my roadrunner with a hot 340 in it, so the chally went back to being a normal car. Well, one project cut in front of another and the chally still sits. Theres stuff out there, but i wouldnt count on a good chally with a bad motor.. they're not neons. Dusters and Darts maybe.

Clint
07-21-2003, 03:04 PM
yea.. the thing is, I wanna do something crazy with the motor, so I dont want to have to spend too much (time/money/energy) on the other parts..

I really wanna try a turbo SB, or a killer BB.. Like that challenger, I'd either try a TT setup or else find a 440 and SC it or something stupid. :D

Clint
07-21-2003, 03:15 PM
I keep thinking about it more and more... got pics? or a general idea of what you want moneywise? and how completely disassembled is it? shell, or rolling chassis?

340 Dak
07-21-2003, 03:29 PM
its a shell with the k-frame still in..so it half rolls. I have no pics of it in the current state.. i have a couple pre-disassembly, but id have to scan them. Where do you live? And for price, I seriously dont know... sorry. I dont know if $2000 or $5000.. i really dont. Im sure i have more than $2000 in just the new parts alone. What would you want to spend and how much would you want? I can keep and sell the extra stuff i got if you dont want it all

You can buy my duster, no engine and a manual tranny car,

Yes I am bitter, but you have to look at it from my point of view which will be a long winded response that I will post later on in this thread

Clint
07-21-2003, 04:13 PM
got pics of said duster? and what all does it have?

SB K-frame? Disc brakes? etc

oh, and i've heard there is alot that happened in the past, but I never heard what it was, and I didnt ask... but if you have your reasons, thats good enough, no need to explain yourself.

CrazyMoparGirl
07-21-2003, 05:12 PM
I did explain myself, in the other thread. As far as Duster:
70 White black Interior, bench seat. Original /6 3 on the tree drum brakes all 4 corners. I took the /6 and tranny out as well as k member and dropped in a 73 V8 kmember, spool type mount, Car is in Zephyrhills, minor surface rust from what I remeber, solid car. I am selling it because I don't want to have anymore projects and I have a nicer 73 Duster. ( I have 10 current ongoing projects) I have the floor hump for a 4speed and all of the clutch linkage is still there. It is BARE BONES and a rolling car, just no engine/trans. Bob will be in town the first week of August, if you want to see it. I'm not trying to steal jeffs sale of the Chally, just hoping one day to get it from him LOL, ;)
