So i was heading to a delivery tonight down a dead end back road on the beach. As i'm almost to the house, theres a truck with a boat parked in the middle of the road, next to a car on the right side.. so they were talking or something.
So I have to squeeze by them since there was a tree or something hanging into the road.. so im like "stupid bastards.. whatever".
The house I had to go to was the next one past where they were parked so I cut right back in front of them, maybe 1-1.5 car lengths in front of them. But the house was a duplex and the whole front yard was pretty much paved into a driveway so I was off the road a good amound, but still a tiny bit onto the road, parallel with it. This was like the 2nd to last house before the culdasac.. the road was already starting the "circle" part.
So I go up to the guys house and it takes him a min to answer the door and get his money together. I'm just asking him how much change he wanted when i see the Explorer Sport-Trac with the boat start driving. As he was passing my car, I had a vision of him scraping down the side of my car. I look back at the customer to give him my change when i hear a metal grinding noise for a second. I glance over and see the truck stopping quickly and hear a "FUCK!"
I look at the customer and say in a perfectly calm voice "well, i think he just drove into my car". The customer is flipping out "oh my god!! really?? oh man!! what.. what... oh man!!!"
I keep counting him back his change, then tell him i gotta go check out my car, thank him and leave.. lol. Hes still flipping out asking me if i need a phone or something.
I could see the trailer CLOSE to my car from the house, but didnt know how close it was. By this time the driver and his friend in the car were there. I look over the fender... "shit...." He backs the truck a little to unwedge the trailer from my fender. I looked it over. It wasnt terrible, but still caved it in somewhat. The tire of the trailer had a fender over it and thats what did the damage. It hit JUST in front of the door, it took a nick out of the moulding on the door. It then slowly went deeper into the fender until his tire hit mine.
Since the house i was at was just into the culdasac, my tires were turned a slight bit to the right, so the rear stuck out a little more.
