just throwing this out there, gauging interest...
given a pretty thorough knowledge base in the ways of sq, and spl in this forum (mostly from jesse), who would be up for combining (labor, funding, etc) and producing an spl competition car?
here's how i've got it worked out... get some old trashed piece of shit car or truck (hopefully a hatch or suv or something...) and turn it into a full out spl monster? now mind you, there would be no attention payed to exterior or interior cleanliness, only mods would be focused on spl. any thoughts?

oh yeah, and we could whore the living shit out of tr... for a price :deal:
just think... tr could be the presenting sponsor of a serious competition car
well.....that would cost more money than u think.....we need a truck (say $800) .....fairly decent equiptment which can easily range up to $1000 for just a strong amp....then subs.....then someone needs to insure the vehicle, cant drive it on the road without insurance......materials for construction, etc. .....its waay too big a project to do together because no one has the money for it......why dont u try to make a system and put it in your car and go for SPL?

good points tom
but ( as there always is)
truck? vehicle!!! who gives a shit it s a spl car!!! any car that runs!!
decent eqip can be arranged ;) assume a "team" of 5 people for this, everyone throw in ~100 bucks or 200, thats 1k, in the single sub class... thats a lot of flow...
insurace???? it needs to drive into the staging lanes not to them, I'll tow thew bitch there. :)
I will step in and donate for a good amount of materials. MDF is cheap enough, concrete for a sound deadener, and glasswork i can do/halve spent more money learning glass than wasting glass.
I'd be 100 percent in for this as most everyone would know, I dont even care what car ot anything for this.

if u are serious about this I have a meter. and my best friend has built a few db drag cars. and it is alot of money. u are gonna need a sub that handles a few thousand watts which is not gonna be cheap then power is rediculously priced. it is fun though. I have been competing for years with different setups. not db drag but street classes.

we're only serious about having fun, and goofing off with audio... the db drag is just the medium
