help tuning a hp950

anyone have experience tuning a holley hp 950? 454 big block - trying to get this divably for the street and want to get it to the track in about a week. runs pretty good after warm up - it hesitates on first take off, but then screams - spark plugs are dark - i think running a little ruch - anyone have any suggestions?

Lean it out alittle. Square your jetting if you do not have a power valve in it.

does it hesitate on wide open throttle or part throttle?

there are a couple things that my cause this like other are saying.

u could start off by resetting everything on the carb and the retune the carb..

go to Get SOME Racing - Powered by vBulletin

i got carb tuning 101 and shit like that on there that will help u out.
