copper head gaskets
anyone have expereince with copper head gaskets?
i have a bbc - my ls6 heads have o-rings so i have to use copper head gaskets - can anyone tell me there experience on installing these and what to use? |

flatout copper gaskets are coated so you don't have to use anything. i was thinking of trying a set.
Flatout Group|Gaskets|Automotive other wise people use mylar to coat the gaskets. if you do a google search on copper head gaskets. most of the venders have how to install them. |

sorry i told you wrong. it's not mylar it's Hylomar that people use.

alot of people but sealent shit on them then tq them down cold then put heat guns pointing into the water passages on the heads and let then heads get to a good temp and the sealent shit then re tq them and then button everything together.

Thanks - I Used Copper Coat And Thin - Very Thin Layer Of Copper Silicone Around Water Passages ,let It Set Overnight - I Will Fire It Tonight!
