806 stroker
Anyone have any experience with these? It's out of a 460 bbf. rpmperformance sells the kits for like 3-6k. I was wondering, with a pretty good n/a build what sort of numbers you'd expect from one of these monsters.
And, about how many miles its gonna last before it ruins itself |

i would guess with that many cubic inches ull have to fill in ur water passages just to make room for the increased bore and if so u wont be able to cool the car and if this is the case it wont be how many miles will it last but how many passes down the quarter mile

Didn't really think about it...I'd just call up some companies like edelbrock and see waht they'd recommend for my combination. The real question though, is how will I keep the frame in a 2500lb car from snapping with the stupid amount of torque this thing will shoot out, naturally aspirated.
Imagine a blower... |

...i really hope this isnt intended to be pulled out on the street, EVER. an 806 with a 14-71 should make in the neighborhood of 6000hp properly set up.
and understand, your going to be VERY lucky to get .5-1 mile per gallon. |

14-71? Yeah itll be on the street, I beleive theres this nasty little ford gt in town Ill need to teach a lesson...heh. But seriously, It'll prolly need a Liquid Nitrogen cooling system if I'd ever intend to run it for more than a pass down and back on the track. And if it didn't it would be on the street, with a fiberglass body and more rollcage metal than anything you've ever seen. edit: Because theres 2 cars I want for weekend warriors, either this 806 in something nice, OR a eurospec m3 engine, prefferably in a m3, but in whatever. Turboed up to 1000hp. I hear they actually get good gas milage if you dont hit boost. |

im sorry, but this whole conversation is absolutely fucking retarded. if you are asking what a 14-71 is you have no business trying to put together a fat rat in the first place.
unless you have in excess of 150k dollars to put this car together, it isnt happening. and even then, you wanna street drive it and you'll likely blow it up quickly making it a race effort motor. spend 50k, get a 632, turbo it (single GT70R will work) find some car you can minitub, back half it, and be on your way trying to hook up 2500hp on the street. and you can probably get away with unleaded fuel still, or run alcohol. alcohol in itself will take care of a great deal of cooling problems. |

Go Kenny! This is one of those conversations you'd hear middle-aged men having right before they get in their minivans. There's no place on the street for an engine stroked/bored to over double it's displacement. That engine would be lucky to make it down the 1/4 once. I'm thinking that's there just so you can build and be like, "Look what I made." If they were that bad ass, we'd see a lot more of 'em on the strip. Just build a 347 and be happy

But you could have 800+ cubes!@#!@# These are the same people I see at the gym working out incorrectly just so they can lift up a shit ton of weight. I'd be perfectly content with a crate 572 Chevy motor. It comes with a warranty AND it lays down 700hp.

LOL @ calling Edelbrock for heads for a 806 inch motor. Good luck, dude.
Why don't you just call Sonny's and get a quote on a 806 build? Are you seriously asking what a 14-71 is? Really?? |
