    Exclamation American Iron Calendar Details..

There’s a new addition to the American Iron Forum that I want to let you all know about, it’s an events calendar specific to our forum. I thought it would be a good idea to add something like this and w/ the help of the admins, they made it happen, Thanks guys!

    Here’s how it works –

The calendar is for any local event, car show, club gathering, swap meet, or race, strictly related to Classic American Muscle Cars (ie this forum) It is not for weekly test-n-tunes at the local track, so please lets save the space for other events. Now as far as what I mean by local, I guess central Florida or simply use your best judgment. Since we have members in various areas, and we will travel for many of these events, we don’t want to leave something off that would be of interest to everyone.

Now the best part, you can add your own event! Simply go to the calendar and use the pull down menu to add a new event. From there just follow the steps. It's just like making a post. What ever you add is what will be viewed when you click on your event from the calendar. Use key words for your title since that is what will actually show up on the calendar and grab some ones attention. Please try to have as much information as possible in your description. If you can, give an address, phone #, times, and description of the event. Try to think what questions some one would have who would like to attend. Also as a courtesy to others, if you can, keep your title as short as possible.

I’ll be moderating the calendar but if you run across something that you think does not go along w/ the forum, please let me know via PM.

I really hope you all enjoy the new calendar feature and will continually check it and help fill it up! Because it’s new, if you notice any bugs please let me know, or if you have any suggestions I’d like to hear them.

Disclaimer - Information on the calendar is likely to change and can be weather permiting. So its up to you to make sure the event is still scheduled before you show up. Don’t blame whoever posted it if you show up and an event was rescheduled but you failed to call ahead!

    Now have at it!

I've gone ahead and added some local shows in July and Aug to start. I was going to eventually add them to the following months as well. I also added Turkey Rod, and the Zyphyrhills Auto Fest in Nov.

I know you guys have a lot more so feel free to add them .

Edit:I was thinking too that when you add something, if you would like to let every one know and call some attention to it, feel free post it here that you have made an addition.
